I've been meaning to see more cultural events/happenings/places in general around town. A couple weekends ago, I got the chance to go downtown with my dear friend, Tierney, who came to visit me! I had been downtown before, but only to attend the BEST concert--The Lumineers. So since this last weekend was family weekend, I actually got to ride in a car and explore more around town. My dad was unfortunately sick, but my mom and sister came to see me...it was much needed! I was already missing home!
Below are some pictures from our ventures around town...it felt so good to escape the campus for the weekend. I definitely recommend to anyone going to college that they get a feel for the town, too...it's so important that it has a great vibe where you can leave and do normal things (like grocery shopping...is it weird that I miss that?) for at least a little while and distance yourself from the school atmosphere.
